PAT

A területet a kirándulók látogathatják.

In Pat leben 279 Menschen.

The name of the village occured in a form of Potoch between 1332 and 1337, in 1445 is Pooth. The German personal name of Poht became a place-name without any derivative and posterior constituent. There are 279 people living in Pat. In barely one km from the settlement there is the plant of the Balaton Fishery which consists of 11 fishing lakes. Due to the fish-breeding it is prohibited to fish in the lakes but there are many bird species living here: swam, stork, heron, cormorant, egret, wild-goose, wild-duck and sand martin. The area is visited by the tourists. In the very nearby of the settlement you can find the so-called Kis-tó (Small-Lake) which is feeded by the water of a fountain. The attraction of the region is also proved by the fact that there are several German families purchased old houses for recreation in the village.
